Frequently Asked Questions:

Do you wear Invisalign at night?
- Invisalign is meant to be worn all day. No matter if your case is minor or severe, you still need to wear your Invisalign braces at least 20 to 22 hours a day. Only wearing your aligners at night means that your teeth won't move according to schedule.

Is it bad to whiten your teeth?
- While teeth whitening is considered safe, you may experience some side effects from treatments: Teeth sensitivity. Your teeth may become more sensitive following teeth whitening. You may experience this on your first or second treatment, and it may diminish with time.

Is a root canal painful?
- No, root canals are usually painless because dentists use local anesthesia before the procedure to numb the tooth and its surrounding areas. So, you should feel no pain at all during the procedure. However, mild pain and discomfort are normal for a few days after a root canal is conducted.

Are veneers permanent?
- Veneers are permanent and are not meant to be removed. They are designed to remain in place for the rest of your life. They usually last between 10-20 years, and if one of your veneers ever loosens, wears out, or breaks, you'll need to have it replaced.

What does a pediatric dentist do?
- Pediatric dentists, also called pedodontics, specialize in diagnosing and treating dental problems in infants, children, and teenagers. They focus on the unique dental issues that can develop in the gums, teeth, and jaw as the body develops and grows.
